About The Department
Siliguri Mahila Mahavidyalaya is a Government aided higher education institute which started its academic journey in the year of 1981. Siliguri Mahila Mahavidyala is affiliated to the University of North Bengal recognized under section 2(f) & 12(B) on UGC Act. It is a purely girl’s college and the department of Education is one of the indispensable department of the college. In 1981-1982, the University approved the department of Education with a pass course degree program in 2007-2008 and, also as an Honours degree program. The department presently consists of two permanent faculty members and two SACT.
Our Mission
- We try to impart education among students and also committed towards undergraduate students by providing them with a learning environment that fosters knowledge, skill-set and along with experiences preparing them for future hurdles in an ever-changing world. To evolve and engage with inspiration to face the challenges and become informed global citizens.
- To develop research potential among the students through collaboration with renowned institutions.
